Michael Carrick should drop Bruno Fernandes for the next match.
Man Utd lost 2-3 to Brighton in the Carabao Cup after leading 2-0, extending a pattern of poor results. Fernandes started against Man City and Everton in recent league games but failed to prevent defeats or draws.
