Manchester United are worse than 13th place because their midfield is broken.
Carlos Baleba is sidelined until 17 September with an ankle injury, and Manuel Ugarte is out long-term with a cruciate ligament tear. That leaves Kobbie Mainoo and Youri Tielemans as the only fit defensive midfielders for a side that just lost 0–1 to Manchester City at home.

Mainoo and Tielemans held midfield control against City; we're 13th because we've scored one goal in four league games, not because the midfield is broken.
