Declan Rice should play as a centre-back when Arsenal need defensive cover.
Graeme Souness criticized Rice's positioning after Arsenal's 2-1 win over Chelsea, suggesting he operates outside his natural midfield role. With Saliba and Timber unavailable, Arsenal have defensive gaps to fill.

Rice at centre-back is a panic fix that masks Arsenal's real problem: they spent £40m on Calafiori to be a left-sided defender and he's already in the team, so the depth is there without sacrificing their best midfielder.
